But there was sadness in the air,

When he left the dressing room.



He cried when he left Arsenal,

He cried when he left his team,

He cried like it was a nightmare,

Or a terrible bad dream.



But suddenly in all the papers,

Websites everywhere!

At Arsenal training!

Had the legend really been spotted there?



It’s true! The Gunners web page exclaimed,

We’re signing him on a two-month loan.

Could Henry take the Arsenal,

To the top of the Premier League throne?

All the papers were signed,

And the transfer was complete.

And the legend’s first match,

Was going to be against Leeds.

The Frenchman started on the bench,

But he’d be put on in short time,

But the Gunners were looking nervous,

When they were drawing at half time.



The match started up again,

At 60 minutes the score was the same.

But when the speaker announcedthe substitution,

The crowd went just insane.

Thierry Henry came on the pitch,

And he looked just at home.
